About Us

Daniel Yordy, M.Ed. in Secondary Education and Administration
Texas School Administrator Certification
Texas Secondary Teacher Certification

Daniel Yordy started teaching school in 1984. If you had told him when he graduated from high school in 1974 that some day he would go back into the classroom to teach, he would have said, "No way!" However, ten years later, when he was offered a class in a private Christian school, he took the opportunity and found that he loved everything about teaching school, the subjects, the books, the lessons, but most especially, the students. Members of his family say they were not surprised.

Before then, Mr. Yordy had been a builder and designer of homes and kitchens. From then until now he has continued in both careers. His teaching expertise is rooted in the realities of real-world work and thinking.

After teaching for a year and a half, Mr. Yordy went on to college to get a Bachelor's Degree in English Education. Later, he obtained a Master's Degree in Secondary Education with a minor in School Administration, and with both Texas teacher and principal certification.

Mr. Yordy has a wide range of experience both inside and outside of education. He has taught a total of seven years in private Christian schools, and five years in Texas public schools. He has assisted his wife in homeschooling their children over a number of years. He brings first hand knowledge of every educational environment. He has also served as principal in a public school and as a director of disciplinary education.

At the same time, Mr. Yordy brings to the table a unique view gained from living for many years in the context of intentional Christian community. This context gave him first hand knowledge of the benefits of a different approach to education - a holistic approach. As a result, he disagrees with many of the methods and delivery of modern American education, public or private. Read through this site if you want to know what that means.
